Save 30-50% on High Quality Groceries Every Month!
We here @ NOWListedInUTAH.com have recently learned about a local Food Co-Op. We have heard raving reviews about the quality & quantity of the products included. We have just submitted our first orders; we will update this blog post as soon as we get our first pick up.
Everyone has been affected by the current economic pressures & if we can share a little bit of information with our friends in the community about ways to save a few dollars it will trickle back into the economy in other ways. Over time these efforts will be the saving grace of our homes, communities & country as a whole.

Co-op basics
It's a simple idea, really - provide quality, healthy food at a substantial savings through cooperative purchasing; and build a sense of community by bringing people together and promoting volunteer service.
The Community Food Co-op is for everyone. Whether you are struggling to meet your basic food needs or are just looking for a way to share in community, you can be part of this simple exchange: giving and receiving.
It's easy to get started with the Food Co-op. In five easy steps, you'll be saving money on groceries every month, meeting your neighbors, and making your community a better place. Please read these instructions carefully.
Step 1: Choose a team site
We have dozens of team sites all over northern Utah. Each site is run by volunteers from your community, and sites are usually open for an hour each month on Distribution Day.

Step 2: Order your food
Note: if you're paying with food stamps, please read these instructions carefully.
Placing an order with the Co-op is easy.
Phone: Call our main office at (801) 746-7878. We accept orders until 5PM on the deadline day.
Fax: Fax your completed order sheet to our main office at (801) 975-0336. Be sure to fill out the entire order sheet, including team site and credit card information.
Mail: Mail your completed order with payment (check, credit card info, or food stamp voucher) to our office.

Online: The most current instructions should be available on the login page.
We ask new members for a one-time, voluntary membership contribution the first time you place your order. The extra contributions help keep us running.
Step 3: Volunteer
Now it's time to get out in your community, and make a difference. We ask you to do two hours of community service on behalf of the Co-op for every month that you place an order.
You can volunteer at our warehouse, help out at your Co-op team site, or work at a homeless shelter, school, or church. You can even rake your neighbor's leaves. We're very flexible; anything you do that isn't for pay and isn't for family should qualify.
If you have disabilities which prevent you from volunteering, we understand. Don't let it keep you from placing your order.

Step 4: Pick up your food
On Distribution Day (dates) https://foodco-op.net/pages/distribution_dates , go down to the team site you selected. Check in, log your volunteer hours, pick up your food, pick up our monthly newsletter, The Harvester, and take everything home to your fridge. Please make sure you have all your food before you leave your team site.
Important! Food must be picked up on the day it is distributed. Orders which are not claimed by the time a site closes will be donated, and no refunds will be given.
Step 5: Enjoy!
By ordering from the Co-op, you're helping yourself to wholesome, nutritious foods at prices that are 30% to 50% less than you would pay at the grocery store. You're also helping to make the same service available to other families who are struggling to make ends meet, and contributing to a strong and networked community.
Please leave a comment if you have used this service or if you are signing up this month.
If you have any other programs or organizations you would like seen mentioned here please let us know.
